We believe criticism can be clear, sharp, emotional, and weird — all at once. We're interested in what's really going on in contemporary art: what moves people, what manipulates them, what gets forgotten, and what gets hyped. We want to make space for both established voices and those just starting to write — especially when they disagree.
This is not a platform for safe reviews or recycled press releases. It's not afraid to ask dumb questions, admit confusion, or call out fluff. But it's also not afraid to fall in love with a painting.
CRIT–ISH is a digital magazine exploring how contemporary art is made, framed, marketed, and perceived — with a critical but playful voice. We publish criticism, interviews, picks, and reflections from emerging and established voices in art and art media.
